If you haven't visited the courthouse be sure to go. It is free, the security officer has a brochure about the "Vision of Peace" sulpture that dominates the lobby. It is my personal favorite. Lots of other art and exhibits to see but don't miss the elevator doors.

Wonderful inside lobby and courthouses. Rotating statues are amazing. My kids call it the 'Harry Potter' place.

This place is an Art Deco masterpiece. I love taking out of town business clients into the atrium and watch them standing with their mouth open in awe. Fun two block walk from St. Paul hotel after lunch. I'm always amassed how many St Paul natives se it and say " I didn't know.......

While my husband was in meetings at the St. Paul Hotel, I took a walking tour of the downtown area. This stop was a special treat since it was so unexpected. Because it is a county government building, you must go through security but it is worth it. I have never seen so much black marble in my life! The... More

You can spend a good amount of time wandering through this magnificent structure. Paintings and sculpture and other intriguing artifacts will increase your knowledge of St. Paul and give you a sense of why Pigs Eye Parrot decided to claim this city as his own.

this building is a great site to visit. The statues and stonework combined with wood word is very cool. The main statue in the lobby if of a large indian which is made of stone and rotates very slowly. The only problem is this building is a city/county building and you out witness all the employees wandering the hallways trying... More

Restrained Art Deco beauty hides behind the sleek, minimal facade. The lobby and statue are not be missed with stunning black stone and gold leaf materials. Various wood species are used on each floor. Worth a the quick pass through security to marvel at this wonder.

One of St. Paul's secret treasures. A magnificent building with stunning architecture. Check out the "ELEVATOR DOORS"..... gorgeous. My Grandfather was one of the designers.

One of the best examples of Art Dec Architecture in the entire nation. The use of 5 stories of black marble with brass railings and all to centerpiece the 4 sstory white onyx indian sculpture. Truly a worthwhile stop if visiting the city. Built in the depths of the depression I would imagine as a employment project no expense was... More
