Unique Finds

Love Grand Avenue; such unique shops. Great spot to go with the gals on a fall afternoon. Shops you don't have anywhere else and also great little cafes. etc. A must do.

Plenty to do for an afternoon or early evening (many shops close at 5 or 6). We visited Penzey's Spices and ate at Salut Bar Americain (French), but there are dozens of chain and independent shops and restaurants to keep you entertained.

This is St. Paul's version of the trendy uptown area of Minneapolis. Lots of neat and locally-owned shops. Very few if any chains. Good selection of restaurants between Lexington Avenue and Dale Street. Numerous places have excellent happy hours, wide variety of local beer selections, and full-service bars. The place to go for dessert is Cafe Latte. Worth spending an... More

So much to do on Grand Ave if you like shopping and trying new restaurants you'll enjoy Grand Ave. Love Grand Old Day every year. Worth checking out if you just want to stroll the streets and shop.

We have friends nearby, so they always bring us here when we're in town. Trendy and new. You are safe to walk the streets. They like an Italian deli, and so do I

When I visit my daughter in the Twin Cities area, my request to go to Grand Avenue is always at the top of places I'd enjoy. Grand Avenue is a classy older section of shops, restaurants and has a friendly appeal and charm. I like walking in this area, stopping at shops that look interesting or for a good cup... More

We got the bus from downtown St Paul for $1.75 each (multi use up to 2.5 hours) Got off at Avon street and had a lovely walk up and down the avenue for over an hour. Very pretty area. Had a light lunch and got the bus back.

This is a very walkable, attractive shopping area with pleasant street trees and sidewalk cafes. There are many nice shops and some excellent restaurants. Parking can be difficult on weekends.

The Grand Avenue area has a lot to offer. The next time we are in this part of town, we plan on exploring it much more to check out some of the shops and restaurants. Even if you don't have a lot of time,at least drive around to see all of the great old mansions and charming houses.
