The zoo has many positives, it's free and there are lots of animals to see and a conservatory for plants. Many of the enclosures are small and dated and some of the animals have little space. I felt bad for some of the animals who were by themselves or in very small enclosures. The zoo needs updating.

Whether you're looking for a break from the winter blues or to see some fun zoo animals, this place has a lot to offer for a morning or afternoon out of the house. The gardens are always beautiful to enjoy and a great way to brighten your day. The primates are fun to watch in the mornings when they tend to... More

I should rate twice - the Conservatory and outside gardens are 5+, the zoo is average. The Conservatory is a great building in itself, then the plant, tree, and flowers displayed are amazing. We were lucky to visit during the spring flower show, so the flower wing was filled with tulips, roses, etc in pinks & yellows. I haven't been... More

It was exciting to see the animals starting to migrate outside except for some of the water animals. We a plastic loin to remember the day. He loved the big cats some were chewing on this huge bones. He loved the monkeys and other primates too.

Happen to live only a few miles away. Like to go periodically and take out of town visitors. In winter, the tropical plants are a nice respite from the cold. The bonsai collection is impressive. The Japanese Garden and Tea House (open Spring to Fall) is a small jewel. If you have small children, the Como Park Zoo and amusement... More

I had a great time walking through the zoo itself, the planning of it is enjoyable and the information readily easy to come by and put into context. Definitely a spot to take kids in educational purposes but also great for a leisurly walk around for some of the cuteness-overload bits of it.

We have been to Como a few times in the past and revisited recently on a sunny weekend day, to find it completely jam packed and difficult to move around or see some of the animals, especially the apes, with the many strollers and visitors. I know that it's free and that is a huge plus. And the flower and... More

Experience the tropics at the Como Conservatory even when it's brutal outside. Lush greenery, water features, a plethora of flowers that changes with the season. Bring your camera, or just sit and relax. It's free, but better if you make a donation. You can even catch a glimpse of a sloth in the animal part. The wolves live outside, and... More

Every time I go to Como Park, Zoo, and Conservatory I marvel that it is free. We do make a donation, but it is wonderful to have access free for all. The conservatory is spectacular. What a wonderful place to go in the depths of winter. In nicer times of year, the outdoor gardens are fabulous, particularly the Japanese gardens.... More
