Wear old shoes or boots due to the hundreds of geese, but a great sight to see. The lake and park has canoe and kayak rentals in the summer and a playground for the kids.

A great park with a lake in Rochester. Lots of Canada Geese and Mallards -- clearly used to people while making a great cacophony of quacking and honking:))) A must stop if you enjoy nature.

It's a small lake. There are a lot of geese hanging around at the lake, at least when it's warm. Otherwise, there's not much there.

Have been here numerous times, with family and friends. We love to bring bread and feed the geese. When my daughters were younger they would get chased by the geese after feeding them.

Silver Lake is a rather long walk from the Mayo Clinic, but doable. There are a few trails, and it is a pleasant place to clear your head.

The green bank brush has helped cut down on goose crap. Still watch where ya walk. A good exercise route to take or run

We enjoyed a nice scenic walk near downtown Rochester. Not as nice as a more rural area, but nice for it's location. The big drawback were all of the geese.

Restful get away from Clinic where you can stretch your legs after sitting all day at clinic. Lots of geese! Fun to watch.

This is a very quiet, lovely spot. Especially nice if you are in town for stressful medical issues. The ducks are an added feature. We stop by here from time time-especially when stress invades our lives.

Yes, they are scheduled to dredge the lake starting this fall. Part of the reason is to improves drainage. A lot of storm runoff goes into this lake and has caused a rise in water level and some flooding.

No cabins. It's not the kind of lake that you vacation on, or fish on. It's more of a side attraction, actually, that you enjoy while you are in Rochester for some other event. Definitely not a lake to build a vacation... More
