If you're passing through Red Wing, this is a must see park. The 360 degree views are all-encompassing, there are plaques that give an overview of the quarry that was up there and how it ties in with the history of the city.
You can see for miles, but best of all you can can see the biggest turn for barge on the Mississippi River River.
There is also a disc golf course at the top as well.

Beautiful overlook of the valley and city along the Mississippi River.
We prefer this Memorial Park Overlook over Barn Bluff. You can drive right up along the edge and see a view if you have small children, elderly with you, and don't have to walk 2 hours on a hill. It has some tables, a few different spots for vehicles to pull over or park, a wonderful overlook, and you can do Frisbee Golf. More family friendly and safe. We like to Geocash with our family for caches and found an easier one right off the road, which the teens liked.
The city should give visitors better directions, but it is not hard to find.
Entering RedWing on Hwy 58 from the SW on Plum, Take a Right turn onto 7th Street (There's a Kwik Trip gas station on the corner). Go 3/4 of a mile and take a right to go up the hill to Memorial Park. Closed in winter.

Well kept park. A bit confusing to find entry. Great views from many vantage points. Disk golf evidently popular there.

It was beautiful I had no idea this park was in Redwing. I enjoy visas and this was gorgeous. You know you are in for a treat as your car climbs the windy road to the wow view.

Today I rode my road bike to the top of the bluff and then explored the park a bit. It is well maintained and has stunning views of the area. It's one of my favorite places in Red Wing!

This wonderful park sits on Sorin's Bluff and has great views of the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. There are numerous Kiosks that feature everything from area history, famous citizens to local wildlife. The park includes picnic tables, walking trails, and a 9-hole Frisbee Golf Course.

Drove to the top for a great view of the city. From what we saw, the park was very clean. Plenty of places to park and take in the view.
