Having seen some of these animals in their natural surrounds it was hard to see the sun bears, bear cats and monkies in particular in such small surrounds given there appeared to be more grounds around the zoo. Some of the animals looked over heated...More

We shared a minibus out from KK, and got here in half an hour, opting for the early start (9.30) knowing it would be cooler and quieter. Cheap to go in ( only 20 ringgits each) and there was plenty to occupy us on our...More

While I agree with some of the other reviews that the animals might not be treated the best (I saw an ostrich with a very bad looking coat of feathers) this place was surprisingly good. It's much larger than it seems at first glance (maybe...More

We travelled as a small young family with 2 kids (3 & 1) and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of animals we got to see and the variety of it all. We had a lovely 2-3 hours in the morning walking around the park...More

Lok Kwai Wildlife Park is easy to get to from Kota Kinabalu. Taxis are 140 ringet round trip plus 50 ringet per hour while they wait in the Park's car park and you visit the Park. The Park has all of the key Bornean wildlife...More

We visited the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park as we wished to see orangutans, Borneo elephants and proboscis monkeys. We weren't disappointed, as we arrived at lunchtime, which allowed for an enjoyable 1.5 hour walk around the park to see all the animals, just prior to...More

This is a zoo so you will have to understand that before you visit. The general appearance is poor, some of that is down to the weather on the enclosures , paths etc. The animals seem well cared for and are in good condition, but...More

It is a good place to bring your kids but sadly, the place is not really well maintain. They only left with little animals to see - orang utan, proboscis, etc...you only need few hours there is more than enough.

It's a small zoo about 30 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu. We hire a private minivan for 220 ringgit as there was 6 of it. The zoo cost 20 ringgit per adult and 10 per child. It a nice small zoo with a reasonable selection...More

We went there in the morning and were first tourists. It was nice and peaceful until families with kids arrived. The wild park isn't small. There are enough animals and birds to see. You can easily spend 2-3 hours there and also you can visit...More

The show involves some macaws, civet and snake. Two shows in a day, i can't be sure of the show timing in the morning, if I remember correctly, it is around 10-11am, in the afternoon it is at 3.15pm.

The best option is by Taxi, cost around RM30-40..the entrance fee should be RM20 for tourists. Cheers!
