Living in PEI or being close to someone in PEI makes paying the bridge toll expensive. I lived there for years and found it very difficult to pay every time I wanted to visit family in NB. All that said, the bridge is fantastic and so much better than the old days when you had to take the ferry. I... More

this is what every church should do, free to enter pay to exit hahaha. no pictures signs makes one work at making a memory of the beautiful scenery... get a gps with video component so you can take a video... cross only if you intend to stay in PEI for a while because the cost to leave is crazy!

Have a cottage in the Bayfield area and never tire of this marvellous bridge. With the sun shining or a grey day each gives you such a different perspective. No longer have to wait for a ferry you can go to the "Island" when ever you wish. Meeting friends on either side of the bridge a shuttle service is available... More

I have to go to PEI once a year but my schedule is variable so it is so nice to be able to arrive at any time to make the crossing. I also go to Victoria BC once a year and there my life is controlled by the ferry schedule. So was it before the bridge. I usually make the... More

Beautiful bridge connects PEI to New Brunswick, Canada. About 8 miles long. We traveled from Borden area to Bayfield. Interesting engineering feat!

The Confederation Bridge officially opened 19 years ago in 1997 and is an amazing engineering feat. Traveling from the NB side to PEI there is no fee paying only upon leaving the isle. It was a beautiful sunny day and barely a cloud in the sky, traffic very light and crossing took less than 10 minutes. Beautiful view from top... More

We crossed it both ways. Going in the dark, coming back on a sunny. It is possibly the longest bridge I have driven. The fact of the length is amazing in and of itself. The views are scenic. Though the toll is relatively high, it covers both ways in effect.

The Confederation Bridge joins New Brunswick with Prince Edward Island. The curved 8 mile long bridge is the longest in the world crossing ice-covered water, and more than a decade after its construction, it endures as one of Canada’s top engineering achievements of the 20th century. We were charged CA $46.00, R/T to cross the bridge. The bridge is headquartered... More

One of those attractions you always wanted to see and to drive across. We drove across the bridge on a slightly, windy and slightly foggy day with very choppy water. Good movie showing the bridge being constructed at the Visitors Centre on PEI side. Good gift shop too. You pay the toll when you leave the island. Some of the... More

I have to admit I love the time saved by driving across but I really don't like the height. I drive a passenger truck and found the wind made it difficult to handle. I was whit knuckled the whole way.
