We stopped by the Basilica on a nice Saturday afternoon. The architecture is exquisite. We took a bunch of pictures outside, and then went in. Inside is even more beautiful than the outside. We enjoyed the quiet and marveled at the altar and ceiling. They also have very spacious and clean restroom facilities on the lower level. Well worth the... More

One of the most remarkable churches in the Twin City area. Upon entering the Basilica, one immediately feels as if they are entering a church that would be located somewhere in Europe. This huge church has the most beautiful stained-glass windows that one could sit in a pew and study for hours. The old-world charm of this stone structure is... More

Beautiful building/architecture. It is so peaceful to be inside. There are many vestibules to investigate. This is my favorite place to attend Christmas midnight mass.

Beautiful church and sculptures, stained glass and restored organ. It's fun to see how they have integrated newer technology (sound system) yet kept the original architecture themes. Attend mass on Sunday and stay for the tour, you won't be disappointed.

The Basilica is amazing and beautiful. My family enjoyed our visit here and we saw three weddings. The Basilica is in walking distance to the Walker Art Museum.

I attended the funeral of a dear friend here - a gay man - which was presided over by an obviously gay priest in the presence of the deceased's gay male partner. This charade denied the reality and humanity of everyone involved. I was ashamed to be present. If you desire to support the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church, this... More

Try to get an architectural tour through the basilica. It is very worth while and make you appreciate the building to a greater extent.

Neat architecture, interesting dome, impressive facade. Very large church across from Loring Park and short walk from downtown. Close to the Walker and Saturday Farmer's Market.
