This is a great lake to walk, job, rollerblade or bike. Its one of the most popular in Minneapolis. There are a couple beaches with life guards. They have a snack stand. They have concerts in the evening at a lovely covered stage.

we were there in february which is clearly the wrong time of year to get any enjoyment out of the lake, but it was still scenic and made for some good photos.

I'm so fortunate to live just blocks from Lake Harriet. One of the nice things about lakes in Minneapolis is that they are surrounded by public trails (one for walking/running, another for biking and rollerblading). The trails are tree-lined and when you look across the...More

We visited just in time to see the Shanty Exhibit. Wonderful creations on the frozen lake were a joy to see.

Lake Harriet is my go to place for walking and kangooing. While it always seems busy, there is always a place to park somewhere along the trail and so much fun people watching. It's also great to stop at the Bandshell for some yummy treats!...More

It's beautiful to walk around here. Especially when the rose gardens are in bloom. It's not as busy as Calhoun, and there is the restaurant and the bandstand to utilize as well. It's one of my favorite lakes to walk around.

If you are a runner, this is a great spot to run, while people watching. Beautiful homes in a lively part of the Twin Cities. Enjoy!

Lake Harriet is my favorite one to walk of the chain of lakes. You can look at the lake, or the beautiful homes that surround it. In the summer, the old Lake Harriet Trolley is a must-do for families with children. Grab some popcorn from...More
