We walked around a large part of Lake Harriett. Lovely homes, great weather, worked up a great appetite. Fall was definitely in the air.

There is a paved walking path with great views of the lake. The path is shaded and there is a separate path for bikers, so you can relax without always having to look over your shoulder for the next biker that wants to pass you.

Great place to unwind and relax walking, jogging or biking along the trail. Fall is especially a great time to go to view the beautiful fall colors.

I may be bias as I lived next to Lake Harriet for years, but it truly is one of the great places in Mpls. If you'd like to walk, bike or run around the Lake it's 2.8 miles (the path is even plowed in winter.)....More

Probably my favorite Lake from the chain, it's full of vegetation in summer, the water is somehow cold, but if you are there in a hot sunny day it is perfect to refresh. There are plenty things to do, rent a bicycle or a paddle...More

Lake Harriet is an excellent break from the city and easy to access. Several miles of roads and paths surround the lake, beautiful homes, and natural environment. All cities should have such nature available for the public. Highly recommended.

The walking and biking paths around the Lake attract visitors and locals. There are walkers, runners, bikers, people strolling, swimming, sailing and sitting on benches. I have even encountered musicians practicing and I had to stop and enjoy their music. If you have a chance...More

Beautiful/well-maintained paths for running/walking or biking, as well as picnic areas. In the summer there are movies and concerts at the bandshell. There are also piers for casual fishing.

The great thing about a walk around Lake Harriet is that there are so many options. A walk in the neighborhood to admire the gardens. A stop at the Rose Garden. A loop around the lake to look for the little elf house. Sit at...More
