An essential to appreciating Minneapolis. Summer of course is amazing with sail boats, bikers, walkers, runners, bandshell concerts, lake restaurant and treats, bike and boat rentals, yet all in a very walkable and small urban lake. Our group took a walk around Lake Harriet in the morning. There were many other people out and about, enjoying the park. The entire loop around the lake was about 3 miles and there were views of both the beautiful lake and downtown Minneapolis.

Lake Harriet has it all! Wonderful place to walk, grab a bite to eat or listen to an outdoor concert every night of week, all summer long.

Sunday morning is a great time to walk around Lake Harriet. You can still find a parking place and it is not too crowded. We parked for free between the Rose Garden and the band shell. While there was not shortage of people out walking...More
