If you visit downtown Minneapolis for Nicollet Mall shopping, you may pass through the IDS Building and Center as you walk the marvelous skyway system.

You have to go to the top floor here and maybe get some dinner at Windows of Minnesota. A little spendy but well worth it!

The IDS tower is the tallest building west of Chicago and houses fine dining as well as offices. Go to the top at the viewing level for a vista of the entire downtown and a view toward the other twin city, St. Paul.

Check out the Crystal Courtyard and if time allows, head up to the restaurant in the Marquette Hotel and dine on the patio overhang. You might get lucky and sit at the famous Mary Tyler Moore table!

Mostly office space, with some retail and restaurants. The architecture is interesting and the views from the top are great.

I used to work in the tower. It is a great place to meet in the Crystal court. There are shops and skyways to walk around the city.
