The Skyway is a super cool solution to energizing the downtown core of Minneapolis for coping with the harsh winter weather for shopping, work and commerce. The network of 2nd level plazas and walkways is extensive, connecting buildings over a wide expanse of the downtown...More

We’ve used it for the past 26 year!! Super especially when your condo is connected to the system. Inclement weather no problem but still enjoy going outdoors!

The sky-way system is a must in such a cold winter city like Minneapolis. Signage could be much better to help individuals get around from one building to another. Just stop and ask someone along the way and they will likely guide you to the...More

By the fourth day in town, I was able to navigate the system from one corner to its opposite; the AC Hotel to the Convention Center, without hitting a dead-end and having to scuttle across streets outside to rejoin it without major backtracking (a swear...More

I had a hard time accessing the skyway from my hotel (Doubletree) since there was not an access point there. But once I found it 2 blocks away, I realized where all the restaurants are - there are not many reasonable lunch places at street...More

I was living in Minneapolis when they built the first skyway. What a genius idea. In a town that is freezing cold a good part of the year, you can get almost anywhere downtown from anywhere downtown without ever going outside. Lots of little shops...More

I would suggest getting on google maps to figure out which bus stop/bus route will be the closest to you. I believe a 742 or 747 are Plymouth express routes that go into downtown(make sure you know the time of the last route... More

You can use the light rail system, for about $2 each way. You can catch it at the airport and if goes to Target Filed which is just a short walk to downtown.
