We tried to get to Target but one of the access doors was locked. We were not sure why. Other people tried to open in as they were coming from the parking deck and heading to Target.

Using the Skyway system downtown is a wonderful way of getting around. It is a lot faster than trying to get around outside and waiting for the lights to change. Pretty easy to get around by just reading the signs.

We have skywalks in Duluth as well, but both my wife and myself were really impressed with the one in Minneapolis. We used it to walk from Government Plaze where we parked our car towards Target Field for the baseball game. It was very clean,...More

The skyway system is great to stay out of the cold but man is it confusing to a tourist! The homeless/beggars were a bit sketchy but it was still a good system to keep out of the cold!

SO SMART! Having the skyway gives people the opportunity to lighten the foot traffic on the street and opens up more business opportunities for restaurants and shopping. In a city where temperature extremes are the norm, this was well-thought-out.

The skyway is filled with excellent restaurants and shops. Great shopping with frequent sales. Excellent way to explore the city during the winter months.

what a great thing to have built. im not sure how we would have got around so easily and comfortably if it wasnt for the awesome skyway. it really is fantastic and a bonus for those of use who wanted to avoid the weather.

This saved my Life!! Excellent way to go around the city; above all with the really angry weather we experimented while there. It was actually really nice to go to the convention center for example without the need to use your coat!

Most skyways follow the Uniform Skyway Hours: M-F 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sat 9:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sun Noon - 6 p.m. Watch for the blue signs. Some skyways may be open longer hours, some fewer.

I would suggest getting on google maps to figure out which bus stop/bus route will be the closest to you. I believe a 742 or 747 are Plymouth express routes that go into downtown(make sure you know the time of the last route... More
