Beautiful, spectacular, and worth a visit. Our grandma Nana used to take us here and we'd have popcorn & ice cream at the concession stand which is now Sea Salt Eatery (worth a visit, too, long lines but great food).

A lovely sloping field, a well used bandstand and stage, an amazing restaurant, and a precious waterfall with access trails spells a delightful afternoon in Minneapolis. Why not a five? Parking crunch, and run-down facilities by the restaurant. But still very much worth a visit. The field is gentle, and includes a new play space, and is graced with plenty... More

I've been to Minnehaha Fall many times while living in the Twin Cities. While this is attraction enough to visit, I really enjoyed the trail along the creek to the Mississippi River. This summer was the first time I made this hike and since have done it two more times. I'm not sure whether the trail is maintained in the... More

I just love the trails on both sides of the park. The park is almost always very clean as they keep trash cans near by.

Minnehaha park is an excellent place to take a little stroll. There is a number of paved paths, a restaurant, dog park and of course the Falls. It can get busy in the park. There is on street and lot parking. All metered. The paths down to the falls are closed in winter, but you can view from the top.

The falls were beautiful with the snow and ice but the stairs were treacherously slippery. They were officially closed but the barricades didn't stop most of the visitors. Yak Traks would have been helpful. They view from above was beautiful but the icicles under the falls were worth the slippery walk.

We stopped off for a quick visit on our sightseeing afternoon. It was quite cold so we did not stop long but I imagine in the warmer weather it is a great place for families, couples and just a solo stroll.

Even in winter we enjoyed the park and walking the trails. The frozen ice and water around the falls added to the beauty. We'll be back in the summer to enjoy too!

The falls are beautiful! However, the walkway down to the falls is closed during the winter (we did not know this before arriving). It seemed much colder near the falls than just walking around the city, so keep this in mind! Definitely an interesting change from the urban views.
