Lake Street is a hub to enjoy the close in city of lakes that makes Minnesota the Land of 10000 lakes...a slow drive both north and south of Lake street will give you a good feel of why people in Minnesota, love their land of lakes. Enjoy!

The stores are run down, the sidewalks are undependable, and the crime rate is high here. Because of the low rents, ethnic restaurants locate here. Be careful after dark.

Getting on the buses here can be scary with the weird looking ppl that frequent the area. But nice food options starting from around Lyndale and Lake St. intersection to Midtown global market on Lake St. Hacienda near Autozone is descent.

There are two Lake Streets, one East of 35W, the other, tonier, is West. From Lyndale to France, with slight detours here and there, are a selection of eateries usually worth the few extra bucks for ambiance, wine lists and desserts. Lake street is in the middle of the action! Great place to go out, live, shop - AWESOME. There is a new apartment and restaurants getting built and rumor has it there are going to be new restaurants and shopping too....sweeeeet! Oh - not to mention a pool overhanging lake street....!!!!!!????

You can go to Lake St. and find just about anything you need. The last time I went there was to get some Mexican food...and it was awesome!
