About
The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is closed for renovation, and will reopen in June 2017. One of the crown jewels of the city’s park system, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its greenspace and its cultural life. A partnership with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, the Garden is a top destination for tourists to enjoy art like the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry in an outdoor park setting.

Great way to spend an hour or so outside
We visited with our 12 and 14 year olds. While not exactly their cup of tea, they were entertained for about an hour. The parents however thoroughly enjoyed this park! Really cool sculptures, the grounds are beautiful and there’s covered picnic tables for a picnic. The bathroom were also very clean for a public park! Parking is $4 flat fee unless you can find a spot on the street.

Make time to visit this fantastic garden
This garden was a great experience especially on a sunny day. Parking in from of so called main entrance and there was plenty of spaces. Food was scarce but close to restaurants about a half mile walk over the bridge to another park. Sculptures were great , just take your time reading about them

More than just the cherry sculpture
The giant cherry on a spoon in the middle of a small pond is probably the most famous sculpture here, but there are many of them scattered around an area of a few square blocks. There is very little shade, so on a hot August afternoon, it was pretty warm, but we still enjoyed spending about 45 minutes wandering around looking at the many sculptures, and reading more about them from the signs. Entrance to the garden itself is completely free, although we did have to pay for parking (we parked in the underground parking at the associated museum across the street). This is definitely a somewhat signature sight in Minneapolis and easy to see and enjoy in a relatively short amount of time.

    Fun Experience
Fun art sculpture park to photograph. Few hours-half day although during my visit there was a Zephyr floating in the neighborhood, great experience. Recommend for solo or family. Under $10 for parking garage nearby. Note: *Actual visited in March, 2020.

    Neat Outside Sculpture Garden
It was a little chilly but decided to make a short visit to that iconic spoon n cherry. Definitely some cool pieces of sculpture here. Would have loved to have visited Walker too, but it was a Monday and closed.

A nice, free activity for all ages at the Walker Art Center
The Sculpture Garden is available year round and it is free. Parking is available in the parking lot, ramp or on the street. We wandered around for over an hour, and there was still much more to see. It is wonderful art displayed outdoors. It looked like there were lights on many of the trees and bushes, so I am guessing that it is beautiful at night, too. A nice, free outdoor activity for all ages.

    Interesting
It's a nice hour walking around. I didn't get all of it. We walked most of it but we had a schedule to keep. There are a few things I really enjoyed, featured below. Took a couple videos under the windchimes, it was lovely there. Loved the healing Dakota maze, which is so beautiful and calming.

This is a wonderful sculpture garden. It is located near downtown and The Basilica of St Mary’s. These provide a nice backdrop to the sculptures.

Cool sculpture garden that is both free and interesting to explore. I was only here a short while, as there was very little shade.

This is a nice area to walk around and see the sculptures on a nice day. I loved the windchimes in the tree and the cherry on the spoon sculpture. Parking is $4.
