Elm Creek has something for everyone, at any season. I am especially fond of the mountain bike trails, hiking trails and paved trails there, but I also love to cross country ski there. They make snow for the downhill slope and have some lighted night trails for both cross country and downhill skiing. However, it can get packed, so I... More

Weather you are biking or hiking or just have some kids that need to burn off some energy. This is the place for you! Paved trails, horse trails, and hiking ones too! I've never been there in the winter but looks like a great place to cross country ski. The playground is amazing. It's good for kids of all ages.... More

Winters have been a disappointment the last several years - not enough natural snow to have good cross country skiing in the Twin Cities. The setup at Elm Creek is great - the loops are not huge, but big enough to not be too congested most of the time. The 'warming house' can be a bid of a zoo, but... More

There are three walks of varying lengths through woodland and countryside, to suit different levels of fitness and ability. There is good parking but the routes are all so quite and peaceful. There is a helpful visitor centre with clean conveniances and a small display of the wildlife and birdlife which may be spotted; also some sensitively displayed live wildlife.

This park offers diverse year round activity for many interests and ages. The playground is phenomenal, great picnic ares, as good of mountain biking as you'll find in the Midwest. Overall beautiful scenery and lots of places for a gentle hike.

Second trip this past Monday and the fall colors are even more spectacular than the week before! I love walking my dogs here, it is so quiet and peaceful on the walking path on the east side of the park reserve. Awesome!

Every time I am in Maple Grove I make sure to stop at Elm Creek Park. Though my purpose for visiting is to mountain bike there are plenty of paved bike paths for all levels of riders. There are mountain bike trails that are perfect for young new riders. The bridges are cool but be very safe when the conditions... More

This is a great park with thousands of acres to explore and do so much at - playground, swimming beach, biking trails, snow tubing and more. You will love it!

Positives: Very nice park. We love going there, love the changes they did recently adding new rides along the mini zip line. This park has a variety of slides and things for different age groups which is nice since we have 3 kids ranging from 1 yo to 10. They all stay busy! Love the shade and the water fountains... More
