We saw Charlies Aunt. There is not a bad seat in the house. It was entertaining and very clear that all involved gave their best. The play was humorous and often times more faces too look at than time. For such a small town their...More

This was our third visit to Lanesboro but we had never seen a show at the Commonweal. We made sure that we were there when the theater was open this time. Debated about spending the money since the cost is like most other theaters. Our...More

What a great find. It was suggested we go to the play and we were not disappointed. The professional actors (and the apprentices) were excellent. The building was very creative, great sound and seats were comfortable. Nice opportunity for a night out. If you are...More

We always take in a play when in Lanesboro. This year we saw "Charlie's Aunt", a delightful British romp. Actors in this company are very good at engaging the audience with their facial expressions and side comments to the audience. Sometimes harder to hear dialogue...More

Our 3rd annual weekend in Lanesboro, and the Commonweal both nights is an anchor of the whole weekend. Wonderful sets, wonderful performances, and we love the old comedies they choose. Out of the 6 we've seen in 3 years, they've all been 10's with maybe...More

We saw Charley's aunt and as usual. It was great some of the regular cast and some new people. We come here once our twice a year. We are making our plans for going back in November for the lion the witch and the wardrobe.

I like everything about this presentation. The actors, the songs, the theatre itself were all great. Some singalongs made it even more fun.

Charley's Aunt was billed as a family show and it was, there was slapstick humor involving a man dressed up as a woman and very dramatic language and facial expressions. My kids loved it, no complaints about anything and they easily stayed up past their...More

The six performers spoke and sang without amplification. They were easy to hear and understand in this cozy theatre. I think that there were about 150 people in the 200 seats available. It was interesting to hear the music and learn the history surrounding the...More

Great presentation of '39 Steps'. Cast was talented; nice pace to the action. Had the opportunity to mingle with the cast during a 'Happy Hour' after the show. Will do it again someday!

My 13 year old says yes! It is pretty active and fun. It might be good to give him a little background to the story ahead of time.
