There is plenty to see and hikes to do ..The river is basically the dividing line between the United States and Canada. It is a very scenic river. Spend time exploring the state park on the Minnesota side with a High Fallsand Middle Falls.

Pigeon River separating Canada and the US. A state park on the Minnesota side is very nice and an easy walk to the river.

We had visited the Grand Portage National Monument/fort and decided since we were so close we'd visit the highest waterfall in Minnesota. The river, waterfall and park are literally the last spot before you cross the border into Canada. The rest stop area and park...More

Don't miss out on visiting this great scenic beauty while at the border of Minnesota and Canada. We went on to Thunder Bay, Ontario (don't bother) last year....never again. Stay in MN and enjoy the view!

Nice trails and wonderful scenery. Majestic and beautiful. Well worth the trip up north passed Duluth, Minnesota. Fantastic drive from along the Lake Superior shoreline.

This river is the international border line between the U.S. and Canada, and it's mouth flows into Lake Superior. It produces the highest waterfall in Minnesota, High Falls at 120 ft. The river's name comes from the French name given to it long ago which...More

After crossing the border into the US, we immediately pulled over to stretch our legs, use the washroom and see the falls. The park is very well maintained, the hike is easy, and the falls were spectacular. Bring your camera!

Honestly the most beautiful falls I have seen other than Niagara Falls. If you go in the spring, they are running hard and are just a sight to behold.
