The campsites are nice with a solid table and big shade trees. Some sites overlook Lake Peppin. The hike can be rugged with stairs as we tower about the banks of water. We tent camped on a gorgeous April weekend. Unfortunately, the water in the...More

We hiked about 2 miles, but it was very challenging. The signs warn you that it is a difficult hike and they are not kidding. We enjoyed it immensely for getting the heart rate up. The "rock with a hole" is worth the challenge to...More

I brought the kids to this park for a couple nights' stay in the hottest part of August. We stayed at cart-in Site 3 or 4 or something. We're hammockers, so avoid these sites if you are--there's not enough trees for hammocks. Luckily we had...More

We camped for a night here. The park is a smaller park which we like. However the sites were not as private as most of the state parks. It's also very tight to get some of the larger campers in there. Overall a nice park....More

This park has beautiful views, plenty of places to picnic, and good hiking trails. We parked near the picnic shelter at the top of the bluff and trekked north/northwest on the Lower Bluff Trail first. The trail itself was of intermediate difficulty, with more challenging...More

You should contact the park. There isn't a boat launch or dock in the park , as far as I know, but the area has many marinas. The river bluff here is very steep and most of the park is up on the bluff. Access to the river is... More
