Renovated in the early 1990's, this tree-lined main street now sports flowers, benches and old-fashioned streetlights as well as shops, cafes and a large theater.

I ended up in Fergus Falls by complete accident, and an unpleasant one -- my boyfriend's car broke down on a highway near it. But after being stranded there for 24 hours, i can't wait to go back again.

Lincoln Avenue in downtown Fergus Falls is packed with arts, culture and history. There's the museum on the west end, the art society's theater right downtown, the book store at Lindens, great food at Bello Cecina. What else do you need!
