This great hike that isn't too strenuous, shorter and has beautiful scenic vistas around every corner. We went right away in the morning in July and were the only ones on it for a while. The vistas were beautiful in July - imagine they are...More

There are several vista points along this easy trail, with views of the lake and the mountains to the north and west. Definitely worth the short drive up the hill from Hwy 61. Everyone knows this trail is not in Duluth, even though one has...More

This is a fall favorite. An easy hike overlooking the beautiful valleys and Lake Superior that we have been doing for years. We usually pack a picnic lunch and stop at one of the overlooks at the top of the trail looking over Lake Superior....More

Been here twice and it's not too bad of a loop. If you just wanted to see all the point of interest on this hike by not doing the loop, you can go to your LEFT once the trail splits. The address is not in...More

If you come anytime April-late October, this is a great and easy hike. In the fall the views and tree colors are amongst the best anywhere.

We have hiked this trail twice now, and it is definitely worth the stop. There are many scenic overlooks and the hike itself is fairly intense. It seemed to go uphill the entire way, but it is worth it.

This is an easy hike up Oberg Mountain. The upward slopes are not difficult to climb, but do have rock and tree root outcroppings. The views of the forest are stunning. There are dangerous overlooks and one must not stand on the edges of these...More

Great hike and views, the perfect challenge up in the mountain. 2.25 miles around the loop. It had good places to stop with stops to view Lake Superior and forest.

That's a tricky time of year. The road is plowed to the parking lot for cross country skiing. The hiking trail up the mountain isn't groomed. Since much of the trail is rock, it can be very icy. Even in April a person can... More
