Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

Great collection of restaurants, galleries, antiques, and shops for hotels on lake. I avoid grandma's complex, instead try smokehouse for a sandwich, vikre distillery, amazing grace coffee shop. Skip grizzlies and old Chicago for green room bar. Use the lakewalk and see the lift bridge.

I have visited Duluth many times and lived there for a while, and one of my favorite places has always been Canal Park. Lots of different hotels, shops and restaurants to visit for food, gifts, books, clothing, etc. You can walk out to the lighthouse and watch ships come in under the lift bridge throughout the day. And for people... More

Visiting here on the off season. Great walking paths, well maintained, lots of dining options. I would like to return for pleasure during warmer months.

We stopped here in early spring. The kids and I enjoyed hiking along the water. It was a bit too muddy to play at the park. The waterfalls looked beautiful with the last of the snow and ice hanging on to the rocks.

Love Duluth and Canal Park. Fun attractions, great restraunts. Hotels are expensive and usally require 2 day minimum book well in advance.

Nice place to get out and stretch your legs. If you're wanting to do more than walk there are bike rentals that seat the whole family. Plenty of shops and food as well as places to sit and just enjoy the weather. There are benches along the canal where you can sit and watch ships come into the harbor. It's... More

Our family visits Duluth once or twice a year. Regardless of the weather, we head to Canal Park. We like to visit the maritime museum, watch the lift bridge go up, head out to the light house, visit the local shops! It is a great place to people watch! Always a fun time!
