Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

I could walk this every day. This is a must if you are in Duluth and want the Duluth experience. Pick up a desert from the glass case at Grandmas and take your walk, it will help make you feel less guilty for having that...More

What a delight Canal Park is- there are many restaurants to choose from along with shopping and sights to see. Watch the freighters come in from the lake to the Harbor. A must see if visiting Duluth

It was fun to walk through and see the different sites and shops but is quite busy especially during the summer.

As a transplant to the Northwoods of Wi, from inner city Chicago I truly miss the pedestrian lifestyle. Staying at a hotel in Canal Park, and having the ease of walking to Sammy' s for their lunch buffet, or walking along the lake is a...More

We loved to meander through Canal Park. Our hotel, The Inn, was within walking distance and very convenient. The feel of nature and the local region is evident in many shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions on the shore of Lake Superior. We actually saw a...More

Here you can people watch, view the beautiful scenic lake, see the ships come in, and enjoy popcorn, ice cream and other treats from the vendors. Carriage rides are available, too! Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

We always love to hike through Canal Park/on the boardwalk. :-) Saturday was a little crazy as it was a holiday weekend, but any walk along the lake is a treat.

Will there be a tall ship festival in Duluth this year (2017), and when, please?

I don't believe that Tall Ships Duluth is an event held every year, it seems that it is every 2-3 years on the Great Lakes. Duluth was 2013, and 2016.
