Hmmm

Interesting facts. Nice that this small town is preserving this original ball of twine, made by one man.

Not much more than you'd expect, but something you really ought to do if you're in the area. A good life-example to show what you can do with a small idea and a little bit of dedication!

How can you be in Minnesota and NOT make a pit stop to go see the biggest twine ball? There's a whole song written about it! It's a cute little town and if you're lucky, the museum will be open with all sorts of randomness. They even let us bring our small dog inside.

My grandmother remembers this being made and it was neat to see this in person. I was not expecting the museum or the kind lady who shared the history of Darwin with us. This is a free attraction but there is a gift shop which is reasonable and helps support the running and upkeep of the attraction.

Definitely this is the biggest attraction in Darwin. If you're anywhere near the area it is an interesting place to stop. If the museum is not open there is a number to call, if you're lucky you'll get to go inside the museum. And the museum is very worthwhile and interesting you could kill a half an hour easy. I... Did you ever dream of seeing the biggest ball of something, somewhere? ...Neither did I, until I heard a song by Weird Al Yankovic, telling me to get my butt and go to Minnesota! Skunky was running late from his last stop on the Skunky Does America Tour 2015. So he called up the Ball-o-Twine museum and spoke to a... More

I have gone here several times in my lifetime. It's fun to take family here visiting me. Its the biggest ball of twine I know of. They also have a souvenir shop as well. Both places are a nice stop to check out.

It was a fun diversion. We planned it on the way through MN on a cross country road trip. Early morning worked well for pictures.

Hate to be negative because it is what it is - a big old ball of twine. The twine ball is in a protective structure so it's hard to see the object and appreciate it's size. There is a plaque that tells the story about how the twine ball was created and why it ended up where it did, which... More

Truth in advertising - it is, in fact, a giant ball of twine inside a sort of gazebo structure. It was the focal point of our design for a trip that would allow us to hit every roadside attraction from Cocoa Beach, FL, to Seattle, WA. It was also the start of one of the most surreal nights of my... More
