Fantastic diving!!

The pit provide some of the best scuba diving MN has to offer. Many different pits with many different different dive sites. Dive shop in Brainerd to fill tanks and give advice

Very disappointed in posts for Cuyana Mine Pits. There are no posted hours to visit. There are no guides to give you information. The museum in Crosby that a cyclist directed us to was not open on the weekend. There was an overgrown field behind a sign indicating this was the site for the mine. A cyclist told us there... More

The trails were well maintained. Everything was well marked so it was easy to find our way around. The single track trails were nicely designed and had plenty of creative elements to them. Being from Idaho I came in with perhaps a bit of "mountain" bike snobbery, but the trails at Cuyuna were fantastic. There were no massive elevation changes... More

National bikers have discovered the trails. Even area sight-seers enjoy the beauty of mother nature's reclamation of the "pits". Don't miss the lovely views.

this is a hidden gem, with great mountain bike trails on red clay hills, overlooking beautiful trout lakes.

Drive about an hour to see the mine pits. Online info says open 10-6pm. Difficult to find. Closed during week. If you have children, there is a phenomenal playground right outside town.

For a great outing this is the place. Mountain biking trails range from easy to fairly challenging. Extremely nice get away. Mine pits still clear all summer long. If you can swim try out the pits they are awesome. Paved trail is short but probably one of the most beautiful in the state. Go in the summer for green awesomeness... More

Bike trails are challenging and offer spectacular views of the pit lakes and surrounding countryside. The pit lakes are crystal clear. Great for snorkeling, diving and just swimming. This is a Boundary Waters experience just nine miles east of the Brainerd Lakes area.

We rented mountain bikes in Crosby and biked the "easier" trails. It was a blast! The trails are challenging, but fun, like an amusement park in the wilderness. Bring first aid kit and bug juice : )
