Myself my Husband and my three teenage Grandchildren had a lovely meal in the Maypole at Kempston. The food was gorgeous and the staff were really lovely and helpful.

Went into the pub which is local to me - the landlady is rude and makes you feel most unwelcome. Stayed for my drinks and upon leaving was heckled by the regulars!! Which was uninvited!

Big pub. Just popped in for a couple. Pleasant staff and landlady. Got pool darts skittles and TVs. Another smaller bar and big garden.

Nice beers served at the correct temperatures made it pleasant to stay for a drink. Unfortunately, the bar staff seemed only interested in regular clients, and the whole atmosphere was somewhat dated and out of touch. But ... a nice little pub for good beers.

We had a most enjoyable game of boules, but the pub smelled of disinfectant and the food, particularly the chilli - which had no chilli in it, was truly awful.

Good Sunday lunch and worth a visit! My brother and I have eaten there several times now and enjoyed the meal. All cooked well and enjoyable food.
