Take a break from Hwy 61 when you see the turnoff sign. Follow the narrow paved road to a parking area and enjoy the gorgeous view!

Worth the stop! We've visited many times with our children and by ourselves. Worth it every time. Great place to stop for a picnic out of your cooler. Uneven surface once you're off the parking area so keep a close eye on the kiddos.

Palisade Head, is 200ft high from the lake water level. The car can go upto the top and then you get fantastic mesmerizing view. Water till your vision can go. If time allows one can spend as long as possible.

Took some friends here for the first time and they loved it. It’s worth the drive to see great views of the lake as well as shovel point. Bring a sandwich and have a picnic. Don’t bring a Trailer as it is a steep road...More

Loved the views from the top. I would recommend driving to the top parking area instead of parking in the lot off the road.

This is a cool viewing spot. Not much to do at the top other than just hang out for a few minutes. Expert rock climbers were belaying down the steep cliff. The parking is really limited and there was a bit of a bottle neck...More

This is a hike and very much worth the effort. The views are completely spectacular! If you like climbing on rocks and seeing as far as you possibly can then this place is for you!

It is possibly to drive right up to the attraction. Some minor hiking from there if you want to experience the full view of the West. The sign at the bottom says large vehicles not allowed. I drive a Suburban with no problem.
