A must for not only any student of Michigan state history, but any student of Native American history. The biggest collection of artifacts I’ve ever seen, and curated with amazing thought and care.

We were in the area for the weekend. Saw a brochure at our hotel for this museum and decided to take a ride to check it out. Don't be deceived by the exterior....what is inside is amazing! Mounts of many species, an unbelievable arrowhead collection,...More

This is a really neat place to bring kids to show them history of and wildlife of northern michigan. They have a huge collection of arrow heads and tools of the native indian. Really fun place to visit.

The woman working there was quite knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They had lots of interesting stuff for sale. The museum was nice and it was free of charge, but they accept donations...Nice unique experience. Would recommend.

Stumbled on this shop because of the outdoor Rhino Petosky Painted sculpture. The shop is dated and on the outside but it's a treasure trove of artifacts and taxidermy. The owner shares knowledge like a parent would to a child. Everything you see and touch...More

We had a great time visiting this store/musuem. It was very interesting and my animal-loving 5 year old son loved it all, especially the Lion. The displays were realistic with an eclectic collection of wildlife. It was fun for all ages and cheap entertainment for...More

Guntzviller's store is great -- full of moccasins and other really nice Minnetonka items. If you go through a doorway, you enter the museum. It's bigger than it appears from the outside. There are many native Michigan species featured, but also many other animals. They...More
