Even if you're not much of a shopper, a stroll down front street is nice, to see the opera house, state theater, and stop inside Fustini's to sample the different, unique flavors of vinegars and oils. Lots of other fun places to stop as well,...More

Even though downtown Traverse City has gone through some tough times lately, there are still plenty of shops and eateries to fill your day.

This is the place to be in Traverse city. People watching, delicious cuisines, good atmosphere. I liked the options we had for dining. It was just amazing. Would like to visit again.

Is what we enjoyed a couple of weeks ago. I'll give you a sample -Started out at Zakey's (Middle Eastern restaurant) for some very tasty shawarmas, hummus, salad - and live belly dancing. Then we began our stroll. Walked across the street to Brilliant Books,...More

There are 4-5 blocks of very small and quaint shops, restaurants, and other things of interest such as the State Theater.

Ok some shops, restaurants and such. Yes, it's clean but it wasn't that big of a deal. And forget getting any shopping done on a Sunday, I guess TC doesn't wake up until noon. We were disappointed to arrive downtown at 10am to find NOTHING...More

Really sweet little downtown area with an awesome view of the water from the edge of the street. Shops close down really early, though. So, if you want to browse, be there before five pm.
