Left Foot Charley is a winery like no other. In lieu of the single estate model, LFC is a collection of grape and apple growers located throughout Northern Michigan dedicated to growing fruit for our wine and cider. Located in the urban setting of the former Traverse City State Hospital campus known as The Village, LFC creates an array of balanced white wine, red wine, and hard cider. Every bottle tells the story of the farm, the vintage and the winemaker's dream of sharing it all with you.

The location is nice... the first winery on your way into Traverse City. Wine is good. Signs for flights of wine were deceiving. Ok. That's it.

A friend and I went here for a drink before an event at Kirkbride Hall. We didn't realize it was happy hour pricing - wow! I had two glasses of Murmur (my new favorite wine - a blend of pinot gris, chardonnay and pinot blanc) and my friend had one glass of the momosa-like cider offering (can't recall the name).... More

We went here after a dinner at Stella's. The bartender was super friendly and the cider beer I tried were all great. My favorite was Classic Hard Cider and Cinnamon Girl. To remember our time here we bought a poster!

Left Food Charley is my go-to spot for amazing hard cider! The cinnamon girl cider they make can be found throughout Traverse City and has recently started showing up in stores around metro-Detroit. If I could only pick one type of alcoholic beverage to drink for the rest of my life, this would be it! It takes like apple pie,... More

We used to really enjoy wine and cider tasting at Left Foot Charley. The tasting menu has been greatly reduced so that you can't get a full menu of wine. You are forced to taste ciders if you order a full tasting. Many of the best wines have been removed from the tasting menu. We ordered appetizers and they were the... More

Thank you so much for your review. We are sorry you left disappointed after your last visit. Our wine menu changes throughout the year, and in the winter usually offers our smallest range of options as we wait for the previous years wine to be ready for release. We are happy to say that within the last two weeks we... More

While exploring Traverse City, my wife and I stumbled on Left Foot. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly while the cider was very good. Cool decor as well. A nice change of pace.

We came in for a tasting and wound up staying for hours! The hard ciders here are amazing, and their speciality drinks are great. The bartenders were very helpful and funny, they kept us entertained the entire time!

Love the cinnamon girl cider! We came this time for tasting and had appetizer cheese/fruit/cracker plates and this was very good.

Variety has decreased but still good. We like the addtion of the cocktails. Just wish they still had more wines to choose from like in the past. Love the Cidermosa and Cin-gria drinks, what a great mix idea. The Cinnamon Girl is always a pleasant drink. Live music on Fridays is a bonus
