Hidden Lake is a great place to see warm indoor gardens year round and to take long outdoor hikes. The grounds are pet-friendly, but the indoor spaces are not. It is easy to spend a relaxing afternoon here seeing the varied climates and flora. Just keep the closing hours in mind so you don't get locked in.

You have to pay to get in but there is so much in store for you inside! This place is beautiful :) They have room for weddings, small & large. Flora is amazing. Lots of land, good for hiking or even just a family picnic. You can drive through as well if you didn't want to explore to the fullest.... More

Hidden Lake Gardens is wonderful place to visit in any season. Something is always in bloom, great hiking trails, and your dog is welcome as long as it's leashed. There's a drive through the forest on a narrow one-way road which is mystical, and gorgeous in the fall, lush in summer. There's a beautiful hosta garden, a succulent house and a... More

We went for a visit this past weekend and the grounds as usual were beautiful. The pond and trails are great. I took my camera so that I could capture all the gorgeous plant life. They also have bonsai trees , cactus, and fruit trees . It's wonderful place to relax and take in what this world has to offer.... More

This place is much bigger than I thought it would be and very beautiful. If you cannot get out and walk the trails you can drive your car around on the paved areas. The paved roads are all one way and can be tricky to drive on as they are quite narrow. I would not want to drive anything larger... More

Four seasons outdoor spectacular and three botanical domes for temperate, tropical and arid conditions and one of the best Bonsai gardens available. Miles of hiking, more rare tree and shrub varieties than you'll ever see, cross-country skiing, great classes and events. Don't miss this if you love plants and forests.

If you are planning on doing any hiking here, be warned that the woods are COVERED in poison ivy. Even on the edge of the trails. The rest of the gardens are beautiful and worth a visit. There are several areas to have a picnic. Plenty of parking.

With a variety of indoor and outdoor gardens, plus hiking paths through natural areas, there is a lot to see here. Make sure you give yourself enough time to see all of the gardens, plus drive along the road that goes by the conifer garden. If you have even more time, you can go for a hike. There are bathrooms... We stop here every time our family visits Michigan. Make sure to visit the bonsai area by the greenhouses, the kids are always amazed at the little trees. Typically on Thursdays in the summer they are pruning the bonsai trees and the volunteers are eager to answer any questions.
