We enjoy walking on the trail and back. The trail is well maintained and there are plenty of birds and deer nearby. Wear protective clothing and a hat. It can get buggy in the summer.

There is just a short gravel road that goes into this park and then a nature trail that does not allow bicycles. I was disappointed for a state park but now I know. Do not go here with any expectations to do any riding whatsoever.

I'm so glad this native forest has been preserved! You can imagine what pioneers saw when going through it. Nature untouched, except for keeping the paths open. The fact that a river runs through it makes it more beautiful with the reflection of the trees...More
