After visiting the Bahay na bato, we went to the baluarte watch tower. it is very near and again if you don't know the direction, just use the app Waze or ask for directions. There's no entrance fee for the attraction. The watch tower is undergoing restoration since it is highly damages by a typhoon. I just wished that I... More

I wish the local government of Luna can do something to restore the remaining left in Baluarte Tower. Because of the bad weather condition, I will be back so I could take a better pictures. Overall, the place is good as well as the locals are very courteous

Fascinating. Currently a worksite. Massive foundation being poured. Half of tower removed to allow reconstruction. Needs signage and interpretation

I am a resident in this town however I only got to visit this landmark during my vacation this 2016. It was devastated by the recent typhoon and what I have captured during my visit is a broken Baluarte...but the sunset view here makes it serenely beautiful.

Baluarte was huge as if you were seeing a piece of Rome Coliseum. It was built during the pre-Spanish times and it served as a lookout point against enemies or colonizers. Now, you could only see the half of it. From what I saw lately, the local government was doing something to preserve what was left behind. Hopefully, they could... More

From bahay na bato.., we carried on driving to the North until we reach this historical Spanish watch tower. We were all excited to see this place since all the photos we've seen on social media site were beautiful and convincing. However, when we saw the place we were quite disappointed 😕. The watch tower is now cut in half... More
