If you are in the Munising area and hiking the Pictured Rocks National Seashore, definitely book a tour of this Iditarod dog sledding facility with over 60 dogs. Kim does a private tour and is very willing to spend as much time as you would like (we stayed about 2 hours). These dogs are well loved. Doing a summer tour of the kennel was excellent. Started with an informational session and then lots of time petting dogs! A pet lover/ kid’s dream! No restaurants nearby so bring food for the car. There is an outhouse provided. Dress to get a little dirty.

Awesome time spent with Kim on our kennel and UTV tour. Learned so much about the Iditarod - it was fascinating! Had the chance to meet and pet many of their huskies, really fun. Then spent a few hours on the UTV continuing to learn about the area and really appreciate the UP. Hoping to come back in the winter. Highly recommend this tour!

My friend and I took a dog sledding tour at Husky Haven. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We learned all about dog sledding and met the dogs. We then went out on a tour and enjoyed the adventure and being out in nature. Really I would highly recommend this to anyone. Thank you for such a wonderful time Kim and Tim.

We’ve traveled to 47 states including Alaska & have done lots of experiences but this is one of my top 5 favorites!!! Not only do you get the opportunity to dog sled but you get to learn about the sport, care of dogs & so much more! My girls 9 & 17 both loved it! Our 9-year old cried when we left because she didn’t want to leave! The staff put so much into our visit & we left there with our hearts full & wonderful memories made!

Kim is very knowledgeable and friendly. We loved the one on one with Kim and Tim. The dogs are very friendly, excited and well taken care of. It’s a great experience if you love the outdoors! Thanks Kim and Tim for making our bucket list Christmas perfect!

Traveling to Kim's in the winter and seeing a functioning sled-dog operation is hugely fun and educational. Highly recommended for families and young children. We especially enjoyed learning and seeing first-hand how much work is involved in caring for 60 dog athletes. Children who only know house pets will benefit from seeing the different life that dog-athletes lead. The dogs are all lovely and their enthusiasm for pulling and running is fun to see. Kim and Jean's commitment to the dogs is inspiration. If you travel in winter, you need to prepare for the cold and also I would not attempt the drive without snow tires. We liked seeing a real dog-racing operation as opposed to just going on a 10min ride for tourists.
