You can hike to the beach from Miner’s Castle parking lot or drive back to the beach directly, just a short walk to the steps that lead down to the beach. There are picnic tables in the wooded area from the parking lot to the beach. There are pit toilets. This was probably our favorite beach and seems to be the most crowded of the ones we visited. If you go early, you avoid large amounts of people. The water is icy cold even in July. The sand is clean, the water clear, and it is close to some of the Pictured Rocks formations. A park pass is required. A week park pass for the park is currently $25.

This beach is literally on the northern edge of the continental United States. Beautiful views of Lake Superior and the horizon towards Canada. Beautiful cliffs of Pictured Rocks. The beach is soft sand which makes walking om it very difficult. It gets even more difficult in the water. The water is very cold even in the summer. Walk down to Miners River which is also a neat spot.. Check out the erosion om the rocks and see time past by. Warning though the stable flies are relentless. They bite. It made it uncomfortable by 5pm.

This is a lovely beach. When we visited in late July the water was warm enough to swim in for us at least. There were some fun waves safe enough for a 9 yo. And wow is the water clear and clean. It was surprisingly busy on a Saturday though.

We visited in October and the road to the beach area was closed (bridge construction) so we chose to hike the 1 mile trail to the beach from Miners Castle overlook. The hike was so worth it, although there are some steep areas and once you go down, you know you will have to come back up. The fall colors made the hike go quickly and were amazing. The beach was empty and we enjoyed walking in the smooth sand, listening to and enjoying the waves in the beach and the beautiful views.

Lady Superior was angry today but the beach was still amazing. The waves were crashing but we still had fun looking at all the different rocks and just standing in awe of the lakes power.

The views of Superior from this beach are awesome. This is a great place to spend some time at or just stop for a pic. Fun gravel road on the way to it. Keep in mind that this is where a lot of kayackers put in at so there may be limited parking during the peak season.

This is an absolutely beautiful beach. Plenty of parking and a short walk to the beach. There is a local kayak company that will rent kayaks to you and your family. You can take a kayak from this beach and kayak around the rocks to the other side and they will give you a ride back.

This is a nice wide beach with some very picturesque scenery of the nearby shoreline rock formations. There were only a few other people on the beach with us during our mid-September visit. The beach is also dog friendly.
