I've tried to see the locks from the boat tours about 6 times now, but my schedule always places me there when they're not running. Knowing that, I've observed many of their boats from the elevated observatory.

Get there a bit early to get the best spots. You can take food and drinks onboard or you can grab a limited selection on the boat.

2016. $27.00. I believe there are kennels available on board. Dogs not allowed to run free on boat. Liability issues I suppose.
