Atop an hill sits a gem of Michigan's Post-Secondary Education System, "LSSU," home of the "Lakers." Lakers are not just the ships that navigate the Great Lakes; these Lakers are tomorrow's public servants in the fields of civil, property and environmental protection, as well as nurses, teachers, scholars, and engineers. This is a neat place to host a conference. It isn't in the traditional big cities but instead a small town in the UP. The thing is, the university went all out to put on a good conference and they succeeded. The food service was excellent and so was the facilities.

The campus is convenient and modern. Can be extreme on the temps as it is on the water. It is not a large campus, but is a nice tweeny environment for kids to matriculate in.

The conference rooms were big enough but the equipment, especially the microphone or sound system was really old technology and not helpful for this conference. The food was not good on the first day of the conference and better on the second day. Very confusing to find the parking lot designated... More

A small University with a rich history and a HUGE heart for the students they educate! Located in historic Sault Ste Marie Michigan and near the largest fresh water lake!

My son is really pleased with the quality of education he is receiving. He loves the smaller classes and the opportunity to get to know his professors.
