The views were amazing! You definitely can not have mobility issues as there is some climbs and terrain that you had to pay attention to where you were walking. It was 5.40 km round trip but incredible every step of the way.

We’re going to have to bring our swimsuits next time, such a wonderful place. We usually come here for the combined lower and upper lake hike, about an hour or so, but the water looks so inviting and such a great place for rowing that we will have to stay longer next time. Parking lot almost always has empty spots, even on busy days, which is great. We came in the late morning and cruised straight in, I did notice that mid-late afternoon it got really busy. Water is clean and from what we could tell, pretty warm. Washrooms and showers on site, and as I said the trails around the lake are great, with a couple of fantastic viewpoints, don’t miss this

Though we live only a 90-min ferry ride away, we've never been to Thetis Lake until now, but we WILL be back! Great park, long walking trails with great views of the lake, we saw tons of families swimming, sunbathing, eating, just a great place to visit, especially on a hot, sunny day like we had. Highly recommended, though note you may want to arrive early. Parking lot fills up fast, and the overflow lot(s) are a bit of a walk....

This location offers quiet space for contemplation, hiking trails for exercise, swimming, beach lounging, dog walking access. It is maintained by the CRD. Some places look wild, the beach area reminds me of places I went to with family as a kid. There is a large bathroom/change area and picnic tables near the beach (lately there have been signs posted near the water regarding toxic algae). A large parking lot is nearby (no fee from October to end of April). It is just a short windy road from Highway 1A (right on the corner of the Six Mile Inn), so I grabbed a lunch from the food strip and had a peaceful nosh.

Thetis Lake is extremely clean with a lovely smooth sand beach. The water is on the cool side which is refreshing once you take the plunge. Went on a week day morning, which was mostly families with kids (no teens...yet). The city seems to have succeeded in their efforts to cut out the loud music, drinking & partying of large teen groups.

Large change room and washroom facilities and reasonable parking. Lots of lovely trails to walk & hike.

This park has SO MUCH to offer. There is great lunch spots, easy parking ($2 parking for the day) and free admittance to the park. There is a beach for families to enjoy and also great fishing spots. Lot so hikes as well.

This is a lovely park to walk the many trails or sit at the beach. It helps to like dogs since it is one of the few off lead parks left these days. But don't worry - they have to stay off the main beach in summer and go to a smaller one farther down the lake. Everyone can have a nice day.

We went for a walk and ended up hiking in the woods. When we realized how close we were to the park we decided to investigate. We ended up hiking around the lower lake. We enjoyed it and felt like we were out in the forest miles from town.

Summer swimming and a lovely trail around the lake through trails of fir and arbutus trees. Plenty of free parking.
