We went on a very windy, but sunny day. Ice was still on the beach, but it was worth it. Gorgeous view of the lighthouse, nice parking, though you do have to pay in peak season. The waves were too high to safely walk out...More

I love light houses, but you can’t beat this one with all the change in seasons and sunsets! Amazing sunsets on Lake Michigan, waves spraying up in the wind, ice covered in the winter.

Beautiful setting - sun going down on lake and enjoying the sand, water, the lighthouse and the pier.

Great place for a drive to catch the views. Easy parking during the winter. Past few week have seen some incredible waves hitting the lighthouse.

We always enjoy the walk down the North pier to see the light house. Great views. Probably not a recommendation for kids.

Nice town, nice lighthouse, very scenic and great photo op here. Depending on the tides, you can walk out to the lighthouse. Depending on time of year, summer season, they offer tours of the lighthouse. Public parking lot for a fee in season.

I love lighthouses. This double lighthouse is not tall and magnificent like some that I've seen- but it has it's own little charm. I wish that it was easier to access- but by the time we figured out how to access it on our weekend...More
