We stopped here to get a good view of the bridge and eat our picnic lunch. It was cold and rainy so we sat in the car and ate. I gave a 4 star review because the bathrooms were closed and I needed to go.

drove from Indiana all the way around Lake Michigan. Stopped at several attractions along the way. The bridge is always a majestic site.

We happened upon Bridge View park while driving around St. Ignace after dinner. It is right on the highway with ample parking and a place for picnicking. We did not notice restrooms or bridge history that others have mentioned. It was a pleasant, shady spot...More

The gardens and views of Mighty Mac are gorgeous. The visitors center has an excellent timeline of bridge development and construction. Wish the bathrooms were available - both were marked "out of order."

We had a great time. The tweens were able to walk right down to Lake Michigan. We got great pictures of the Mackinaw Bridge. The bathrooms were very clean.

It was a nice view looking from the north. You are up there so why not stop in. It is clean and easy to find.

There are no grills in Bridge View Park however there is a roadside park a couple of miles to the west which has grills and picnic tables and also overlooks Lake Michigan and the bridge.
