This is a must see on your trip up north of the Mighty Mac. This beautiful park provides outdoor picnic table, pavillions, benches, and a gorgeous visitor center with restrooms and interpretive panels about the history of the area and the building of the bridge. Take a break from driving and enjoy a picnic lunch with a picturesque view.

A great view of the Mackinac Bridge (pronounced mack-in-naw) Get there just before sunset and watch the bridge light up.

The park is easy to find and has a decent size parking lot with access to the park. When we went in October it looked like they had closed the west side of the park for the season, and the museum in the east side of the park was closed. Good view of the Bridge and a nice place to... More

We came upon this by accident and are so glad that we did! Fabulous view of the bridge, lots of beautiful flowers (late summer) and the park itself is very clean. Would be a great picnic spot. The visitors center was closed when we were there, so no restrooms late in the season but it is beautiful!

Do not leave the UP without stopping for a completely different view of the the Bridge. The landscaping during the summer is beautiful. There are a couple of pavilions available if you want to eat outside. There are also indoor restrooms. A Must See.

We went there to get a night view of the bridge. There are no lights even though the park was open. We went the next day, only to see a small image of the bridge. It might be a good place for a picnic, but not a place to look at the bridge.
