I've been the 30-something zoos around the country and I would put this right up there in the top 10 top 12. The penguin exhibit is the most awesome penguin exhibit I've seen outside of SeaWorld. You could spend some quality time there and enjoy...More
There is a lot to do at this zoo, you should plan ahead if you want to take advantage of some of the additional exhibits so you know when they are available. Strolling through the zoo is absolutely beautiful. It's well kept. As far as...More
Attended Wild Lights with my husband. It was not as expected. I thought the entire Zoo was decorated in lights and you could view the animals. I was wrong. The Zoo is open in the morning & afternoon then closes for a bit to reopen...More
went to see wild lights show during the holiday season. Lights were pretty but not as much as expected.... seen other light shows in different cities ....not impressed with this 1 though compared to the price for parking and tickets.....
Not to happy.....lights were pretty and all....but.....drove over an hour, paid $8.00 for parking, tickets were $16.00 (online) was done with seeing the park lights in an hour. If you wanted a hot chocolate, it was almost $7.00 with a $2.00 refill. Very expensive outing...More

I am guessing you are referring to the ticket purchase option. It allows you to go on or in several of the attractions that are available. It appears to not be explained on the website but if you go to the drop down menu for Visit and click on Attractions there are many things you can do at the Zoo for an additional cost. The Total Experience includes several of those thing but I can't say from memory which ones. I am 99% sure it includes the Railroad and the 4-D theater. I think it includes 2 more attractions. It is a very good deal but would definitely make for a longer visit at the Zoo. With a membership the price of the Total Experience is much lower, I think 12 dollars, which I think would make membership pay for itself on one visit.
