WOW - Just when I thought I couldn't be more in love with this little town - BAM - we stumble upon the Bear River. If anyone wants to buy our St. Pete Beach townhouse, give me a shout, 'cuz we're moving to Petoskey!

We enjoyed this well maintained biking trail along the river. Parking was easy and the signage and maps were great. We will be back when the kids are older to try some of the kayaking in this area.

Very nice recreation area in the middle of Petoskey. There is a paved path for walking, non-motorized bikes, scooters and walkers. In some areas, there is an unpaved trail with paths leading to the water. Peaceful walk, listening to the river!

We took a pleasant morning hike along the river. The trails, restrooms and parking areas are well maintained. Once on the trails, you won't even remember you are in the city of Petoskey. The area is a gem.
