This is part of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum which I've already reviewed under that name. This is a must-see attraction if you are in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

A nice area of buildings and history. Even if you don't go in the museum ($10 if I remember correctly) there is still some plaques and other things to look at in the area. A nice view of Lake Superior. Also, visit the walking path...More

We stopped here specifically for our niece. She's never been this far north, so we wanted to share it with her. It's been a few years since we've been here and it was nice to see the monument honoring the Edmund Fitzgerald.

The reproduction of life in the life house, lifesaving rescue and all the setting is first class. You get a genuine feel for life of the keepers. Well kept up, neat grounds, open access to all areas.

Had a great time visiting the lighthouse and the surrounding buildings. We first purchased tickets with our admission to the museum to hike to the top of the lighthouse which occurs several times throughout the day. Recommend doing this activity should you desire to do...More
