The Lighthouse is beautifully maintained by a team of caring professionals. Their special events such as Lobster Night; Haunted Lighthouse; and Christmas at the Lighthouse are not to be missed. The history of the Lighthouse and of The Great Lakes are presented in story telling...More
There were only a few visitors on this Sunday afternoon in December, so we took our time and really explored the museum. This is an authentic 1858 lighthouse that has been meticulously restored with some very interesting artifacts. The staff had the entire facility decorated,...More

It was fun to drive up M22 to the tip of the Leelenau Peninsula to see the lighthouse and the lake from the very tip of land. The only downside was the $9 entrance fee which didn't include going inside the lighthouse itself.
Really nice out of the way State Park that includes this lighthouse. Museum and gift shop. For $4 (adults) you can tour the lighthouse and walk up to the light. Really nice time. Picnic and play areas available.
