The visit there was very rewarding. The visit takes place in several phases a first part on the history of Courvoisier the second on the manufacture of cognac, the third with the visit of a very interesting cellar and ends with a tasting of three different cognacs.
The Guide we had during the visit knew his subject well and his explanations were very clear. She did not hesitate to make us feel different barrels several times. We almost spent two hours between the visit and the tasting it was really well organized.
At the end you can enjoy a small cocktail with VS, VSOP and XO accompanied by a small chocolate.
There is no need to appreciate the cognac to enjoy the visit.
Being from the area and having already made other Cognac houses with my husband we found this visit to be the most informative and complete. I recommend without hesitation

An excellent guided tour and so much to learn.Very informative English tours. We were lucky enough to go on a day when a tour of the Chateau was included in the visit, well worth going.

We had a lovely English speaking guide who took us around Courvoisier. She was very informative, enthusiastic and great fun. The tasting at the end was also very interesting as the guide helped us distinguish the various components of the cognac by smell and taste.

Poor welcome, they only spoke French and a little English, but no Italian and no Spanish. Impossible to visit, impossible to taste….so I didn't buy anything. That's fine. At Hennessy or Martell they welcomed us in another way, with more marketing, more languages, more desire to help you. Especially Martell, very good.

A very interesting tour with a lot on the history of courvoisier. I did feel like it was more of a museum than a distillery. Would have been nice to have learned more about how it's made. But all in all a good tour.

Very good visit, with no robust sales chat. although there is of course a shop with quality souvenirs (including full bottles). A quick run through the history to start which explains why Napoleon's hat sits in a glass case and why Courvoisier is associated with Napoleon. The process of their cognac production is shown and followed by a well informed (in English) tasting of their various presentations of cognac. We were there on a very hot day and the air-conditioned modern exhibition area, facing the Charente, behind the old Chateau was a very pleasant place to be.

We've been on other distillery tours and, whilst this was interesting and had the added 'attraction' of a short boat trip across the river, it was more expensive than others without adding anything. Also, they are VERY mean with their 'tastings' and you only get offered a VS (unless you pay extra)!

Very informative, enjoyable and friendly. This tour will take the visitor through the various stages of cognac production and with an opportunity to sip and sample at the end of the tour.

At first glance this appears expensive at €50 per head - however for the money you get a personal guide for 2 1/2 hours, a tour of the Chateau plus three different glasses of excellent cognac during the experience. Our guide Vanessa was really friendly, very informative and really enthusiastic. From a historical point of view the Napoleon artefacts were very interesting and tied in with the original Courvoisier history. We had previously undertaken a tour of "a rival" in Cognac and this tour took it on to a further level - especially the short animated film shown part way through the tour. Thoroughly recommend the tour - especially if you need to get out of the rain!

Great staff and our children found the Napoleon display and information interesting. Great tasting at the end of the visit and very reasonable gift shop. Highly recommended.

Do I have to book a tour, or are they still available regularly throughout the day upon arrival? ( I worked there one summer as a tour guide and we have yours as groups arrived rather than on a fixed schedule) From what time until what time do your tours run? I was hoping to come this Tues 8/16 if open.
Merci!
