We've been up and down the beaches of Lake Michigan over the years and Hoffmaster's is one of my favorite spots. We actually camped this summer at PJ Hoffmaster's campgrounds (state park for camping) and it was extremely clean, well kept, and everyone was really...More

My favorite spot to visit all 3 seasons - it's great for cross-country skiers & snowshoers.. The sand is just like pictured and the footpaths are for all grades of hikers. I do miss the Trillium which covered the dunes in past years but plants...More

Please don't go here, it is a nice quiet park with a beautiful beach. No amenities, no hot dog/popcorn stands, just a quiet beach on the lake. Let's leave it that way. ;-)

This park is totally awesome. The dunes, the sand, the sun, water and just a good time. There is an activity center to go to first right inside the park. There is a lot to learn about the trees, flowers, animals, insects and the dunes...More

Yes, certain times. Love the trails! The dunes create some shelter from the winds of the lake and the views are breathtaking. I would call The park for specifics.

There is a restroom and changing area in the swim beach parking lot. From the parking lot there is a short trek down some stairs (or a ramp) to get to the beach.
