This is a self guided type of place. It was interesting to go through the sub. As we were at the end we wound up behind a group that had a guide...I'm not sure how they did that. But because of the small space we...More

There are three parts to this museum. The USS Silversides decommissioned submarine from WWII, a coast guard patrol vessel (which I've forgotten the name of) and a traditional museum. Being a history buff, it was really, really cool to walk through the actual submarine and...More

My husband and I went on a tour of the submarine with one of the docents, and we still learned a lot even though we have been on a few other submarine tours. The tour lasted for about an hour, so go to the bathroom...More

What a wonderful piece of history! Really enjoyed touring the USS Silverside. And the museum contains authentic pieces from that era and great educational information.Really gives you a humbling appreciation for the sacrifices our military makes for our freedom! A must see

We had a work retreat here in one of there board rooms and then toured the museum and ships. What a cool experience to do a hands on tour of a WWII Submarine. If your even close to this, you have to check it out.

Lots to see and do for everyone. The displays are informative, some are hands-on. It was great to visit the submarine and the coast guard boat, an add on, but worth it.

USS Silversides is a venerable boat and the most decorated submarine you can still visit. She was one of the most successful submarines during the Pacific Theater of World War II, with 23 confirmed kills over 14 patrols. In all that time, only one crew...More

I recently attended a meeting at the Museum and couldn't wait for it to finish so I could look through the museum...but more importantly I wanted to check out the USS Silversides, which is an actual WWII submarine that saw a lot of action in...More
