Pristine and breathtaking, the water is a blue green I had only ever seen in the carribean, air is crisp, and not crowded

We skied the snowmobile trail into Miners Castle last week and didn't see one snowmobile. This is a special place in the middle of winter

A group of us, all photographers went here for a weekend trip over New Years. It was just breath taking. I have been here twice, once in summer and now once in winter. Both are great in there own way! Make sure you dress warm and wear boots! Lots of snow in the winter!

Just a few hundred steps from the car and you're overlooking an amazing sight. Can visit two different outlook points but only one is wheelchair accessible during the summer, and none in the winter.

So you've taken the Pictured Rocks Cruise...nothing can top that, right? Wrong! Hop in the car and drive to the Miners Castle site along the National Lakeshore and prepare to be gob-smacked! It's an easy drive from Munising along paved roads and the site itself is easily accessible, with ample parking and a visitor's center that offers a small selection... More

The beauty of this place is amazing!!!! It was one thing to see this site from the cruise, but to be able to walk to the point where we could look down!?! Priceless. If you like capturing nature and it"s beauty, defiantly bring that camera, and make sure its charged. Walking shoes are a must. Just soak in the beauty... More

For our family of four, it was a pretty simple walk/hike. Beautiful views! Perhaps more crowded in the summer, but practically empty in November! A great way to experience a ton of beauty without hiking miles and miles!

Our cruise was canceled due to high winds and rough waters, so we had extra time to check out Miners Castle. There are plenty of signs on the way here, so it's easy to get to. It's about 20 minutes away from Pictured Rocks Cruises. The parking lot has plenty of spaces (and it was packed when we went). The... More

We through-hiked 75% of Pictured Rocks and were able to get a different perspective of what you might see from the boat ride. If it wasn't October, you would swear you were in the Caribbean - the water was blue and the "pictured rocks" of Miner's Castle made a great contrast along with the fall colors. Beautiful.
