Just do it. Words cannot aptly describe what you will see. My only recommendation is not to venture out in stormy seas. Yes, when the weather is like this the lake becomes an ocean.

Sunset cruise was very good with lots of narration that was clear and informative. Lasted about 3 hours. Also saw the old cedar sided Grand Island Lighthouse.

On the must see list for Upper Peninsula. So many ways and modes of transportation to view there is not excuse to not see it. Kayak, boat tours, hiking.

Be prepared with bug spray for mosquitos and black flies. If you need it, you have it. If the bugs aren't bad (which is rare in my opinion), at least you were prepared. Ticks have been quite bad this year in lower Michigan... More

We stayed at the munising holiday inn express, lovely views, nice people and great breakfast. Did not kayak only took the boat tour.
