A bit of a climb from Namche Bazaar but well worth it. Sit on the balcony with a cup of tea and soak in the views, Everest is a long way off but easy to see.

The Everest view Point, be it from the Everest View Hotel a few hours trek from Namche or along the EBC route is worth taking in. Again, it is easy to NOT ecognise Everest as the surrounding sister mountains are formidable. Ask a guide or a Sherpa to be certain. The one thing that never ceases to amaze me is that the 'clouds' near the peak of Everest are very often SNOW being blown off the mountain that just looks like cloud. So many people just do the trek to EBC . I hav seen and heard people on so many occasions taking time to video or Vlog their trip whilst having the Everest View in the background. My advice is take your selfie or do your Vlog and then put away the technology and breathe and aenjoy the view!!

Everest View Point gives the first glance of the peak during the EBC trek. Not only that, the place gives the best view of the Khumbu Valley. It's a few hundred feet above Namche Bazaar and is usually visited on the acclimatisation day from Namche Bazaar.

A bit of a climb from Namche but nothing can take away that feeling of seeing Everest for the first time. It is not as good as views later on. But wherever you look the views are incredible.

This is a great acclimatisation climb from Namche where you'll get your first proper views of Everest if you're doing the EBC trek.

Be warned, it's a tough walk, especially the last ten minutes or so, but the views of Everest are amazing (as are the views down to Namche).

It took us about 2.5 hours with a 10 year old and a 12 year old.

There is a beautiful monastery on the way out of Namche which we passed, and the usual prayer flags and stupors.

You get to see Everest while on the standard EBC trail at a few viewpoints. One will be at the trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar, though it's framed by trees and looks pretty small. The second will be at Everest View Hotel where you can have tea with a good view of Everest, Taboche, Lhotse and Ama Dablam in the backdrop. Along the way en route Everest view hotel you can already see this same view. Sheer beauty!
