Muktinath is a famous temple in Nepal, it is in Nepal's district Mustang, with a total elevation of 3,762 m above sea level. The only way to reach Muktinath is by air . to reach Muktinath Temple you need to arrive at Jomsom by flight and then by foot which is 18 km. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also a pilgrimage sites for devotees.

My experience was good we started from Jomsom at about 9 am and went for 18 km, 15 by bus and the rest 3 km by foot it was a unique experience as the walk was a bit stressful, but the view was very beautiful and the pathway was good there were proper steps and leveled roads it was easy to walk the weather was very good, neither cold nor warm, it was perfect one. On the way to the temple, we saw many small hotels, shops, and small food outlets. When we went there we saw that there is still life. and people live there.

If you ask me about my experience from start to end, it was excellent, i mean stay was 5/10, the flight was 8/10, and the pathway 10/10. the total walk was good and enjoyable it was very healthy and good for your lungs and body keeps you fit and healthy. I would recommend going to Muktinath Temple as it benefits the body and mind through devotion and worship and keeps your body good and fine, because of walking. This trip is recommended for trackers and devotees who wish to see God and take his blessings and for those who have wished for some good thing. All in all, my experience was good I could see the temple and get Dharshan ( prayer) as the crowd was less. I certainly loved the design of the temple .it was good.

Muktinath is one of the 108 Divya Desham temples, You all must visit the temple, it's very good and nice . You have almost all the good facilities like a bus to reach the bottom half, that is you reach there halfway by bus, and if you are not able to walk special for the senior citizens who cannot walk can use the pony/horse or a stretcher who takes you safely to the top. it may be a bit expensive , but worth it, the people who do this work are kind and help you a lot, they take you safely. So, it is a very good place to visit and people who go will enjoy the trip and return with good memories. please give it a try.

Thank you

Great Hindu temple to visit and feel deep belief. It's a place where Lord Vishnu achieved salvation. Located on a small hill, very well laid out stair will help you reach the top without much difficulty. A breathtaking view of the entire Annpurna range of Himalaya mountain will make you leave all your worries and the pain behind. Feel at the top of the world. Also try taking a heli ride from Pokhra if you don't want to take a treacherous and dangerous road journey of 12 hrs.

The road from pokhara to jomson is simply horrible and frightening. Flight should be taken to avoid such a strenuous journey. Took us nearly 13 hours to cover this stretch.Muktinath temple visit was excellent . If possible must visit. Temple premises is neat and clean and a person should have a bath in 108 showers with a dip in paap and mukti kund. If a person is going in October then woolen clothes be taken as it is cold in jomson. apples orchids are there at jomson hence if you are visiting in October you will get fresh apples. Mandir if done after 12 noon , will be empty as major rush in the mornings. Hence if the scope is there pl go after 11am if not 12noon

This is my fourth visit to this sacred Mandir, first after the pandemic. I stay one night at Jomsom for acclimatisation and then proceed to Ranipawa for two nights stay. As Mukthinath is at the altitude of 3800+mt, it's advisable not to hurry to prevent any high altitude sickness. One of the 108 Divya Desams most sacred for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Some renovation work is going on but the facilities are alright. One can take sacred bath under 108 Varaha Dharas, freezing flowing waters and dip in Pap or Karma and Punya or Jnana Kunds before proceeding to Mandir. As this is a sacred place of worship for millions of devotees, one should follow decorum. Change rooms are available for men and women separately. If staying overnight at Ranipawa, don't miss evening Arathi, free from crowds. An amazing wonder of nature can be seen at a nearby cave where fire or jwala will be burning eternally. A Buddhist Statue on way back is added attraction.
